The 2017 Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival presents a total of 15 feature films and 13 short films in Spanish over the month of October.
The fourth edition of the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival will be held across Scotland from the 5th to the 31st of October 2017. The opening film 100 Metres, directed by Marcel Barrena launches an exciting programme that includes the Scottish premiere of Happy 140 (directed by Gracia Querejeta), and the coveted Goya prize winners Smoke and Mirrors (directed by Alberto Rodríguez) and 1898, Our Last Men in the Philippines (directed by Salvador Calvo).
The ESFF is delighted to announce that all the proceeds from the opening night screening will go towards the Multiple Sclerosis research foundation Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic, brought to life by author J.K. Rowling.
The showcase will take place in three cities across Scotland. From the 5th – 14th of October the festival will be holding screenings at Edinburgh’s Filmhouse and the University of Edinburgh. The Glasgow Film Theatre will be hosting a smaller showcase from the 24th to the 26th of October, while the screenings at Stirling’s Macrobert Arts Centre are to take place on the 19th and the 31st of October.
