London Spanish Film Festival – Spring Weekend
21 Apr - 23 Apr|
After the London Spanish Film Festival last September, the Spring Weekend is presented to London audiences. The event will take place from 21 to 23 April at the Lumière Cinema, with some recent Spanish films as well as some excellent films from the past year.
This time the Festival brings two comedies and one historic film to share a fantastic weekend of cinema. Kiki, Love to Love is a funny but touching film that criticises social assumptions about what is right and what is not in sex. The Furies shows a family tale full of surprises, little betrayals, big egos and twists… that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Broken Crown brings in a new perspective of Spanish History in the 16th Century. The film is focused on the unscrupulous lust for power by two men. Another key plot is represented by the fragility of a woman who didn’t wish the weight of a crown and is devastated by the betrayal of her husband and of her own father.
Kiki, Love to love – Fri 21 April, 8.30pm
Broken Crown – Sun 23 April, 5.30pm
The Furies – Sun 23 April, 8.15pm
