The London Constituency of the Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (SRUK/CERU) celebrates the 7th Meet the Scientist event focused on neuroscience and artificial intelligence. The event will comprise of three talks by scientists followed by an open discussion around whether computers would outthink humankind.

The three speakers are as follows:

–       Ms Victoria González Sabater, PhD Student at the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology of King’s College London.
Talk: “The language of the brain: how neurons talk to each other”

–       Mr Dilan Chavda, Former Junior Data Scientist at Cambridge Analytica, Masters in Machine Learning at Imperial College London.
Talk: “A brief history of Machine Learning”.

–       Mr Jorge Aurelio Menéndez, PhD Student at UCL Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit.
Talk: “The blind electrician: how neurons learn from experience”
