Lorca’s Blood Wedding in London
4 Sep - 23 Sep|
A reimagined modern day adaptation of celebrated Spanish dramatist Federico Garcia Lorca’s Blood Wedding will be staged for three weeks at Omnibus Theatre. The drama has been readapted and will be directed by George Richmond-Scott, who is currently the associate director of West End hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
This contemporary adaptation of passion and vendetta explosively blends grit, fate and claustrophobia, with a streak of dark humour. Told through a female lens, shines a light on London’s Spanish community and explores cultural divisions in response to the current socio-political climate. The play will be told in a bold, physical style with movement director Patricia Suarez working with a strong, diverse cast and originally composed music interwoven into the contemporary style scenes.
Performance times: 4th – 23rd September // Tuesday-Fridays 7.30pm, Sundays 4pm
