Spanish Guitar making at London Craft Week

Spanish guitar maker Felipe Conde demonstrates musical instrument making followed by a recital by flamenco guitarist Juan Martin in the evening of the 3rd of May as part of London Craft Week.
The Conde Hermanos is a dynasty of luthiers established in 1915 dedicated to the construction of high quality handcrafted Spanish, Classic and Flamenco Guitars. Its range of high-end flamenco and classical guitars constitutes an icon of the best of Spanish crafts. The Condes’ most prominent guitarists were Paco de Lucía and singer, songwriter and poet Leonard Cohen, among others.
Juan Cristóbal Martín is a flamenco guitarist born in Spain in 1948 who was initiated into the art of flamenco at the age of 6. By the time he was 20 he moved to Madrid in pursuit of his dream, where he completed his studies.
This event is part of the The Guitarrísimo series, a collaboration between the Instituto Cervantes and ILAMS (Iberian and Latin American Music Society).
