The brand dedicated to Visual arts is focused on the artistic and socio-cultural movement La Movida of post – Franco Spain. The exhibition, curated by Sarah Perks, is going to show some of the representative aspects that characterised this period. Excess, clubbing, drugs, artistic freedom, gay rights, pornography …, will be at the core of an exhibition that represents the early 80s in Madrid.
The film programme features the best in new Spanish and Latin American cinema including multiple UK premieres with works from both new and established directors. Local academics will introduce five of their screenings to enrich the audience experience with their analyses and well – researched insights and post-screening Q&As.
Julieta, last film of Pedro Almodóvar will be released this August in UK. On 10 August Julieta will be screened at Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House and it will be released in UK cinemas on 26 August by Pathé.
