Instituto Cervantes and ARTES have invited Marta Cacho Casal, an art historian specialising in Early Modern Art, and particularly the Spanish Golden Age to the ARTES Glendinning Lecture.
Spanish Golden Age painter Francisco de Zurbarán (1598-1664), had a prolonged relationship with the Americas, specifically the Viceroyalty of Perú. Despite not having travelled outside of Spain, Zurbarán destined many of his paintings overseas, from Seville’s port. This talk by Akemi Luisa Herráez Vossbrink will consider the collection and reception of Zurbaran’s paintings in the Viceroyalty of Perú.
TES and Instituto Cervantes organise the lecture ‘The Spanish Patrimonio Nacional and the new Museum of Royal Collections at the Royal Palace in Madrid’ by Alfredo Pérez de Armiñán, President of Patrimonio Nacional
