Colnaghi’s newest exhibition, Discovering Viceregal Latin American Treasures, is now open at the gallery’s London space through September 10, 2021. Assembled in collaboration with Jaime Eguiguren, the world’s preeminent expert on viceregal art, the show is a thoughtful collection of more than 100 works created in Latin America during the 17^th and 18^th centuries and reflecting the culture and aesthetics of “New Spain” at the time. Select Modern masterpieces and historically significant objects from the Pre-Columbian period are also on view, providing a broader context for the art created in the region and reflecting Colnaghi’s commitment to supporting cross-category collecting.
