Don’t miss the UK’s first and only annual festival of Latin classical music, organized by ILAMS (the Iberian and Latin American Music Society) in collaboration with Instituto Cervantes. The Festival brings unique classical Iberican programming to some of London’s most prestigious venues, whilst providing a platform to some of the most authentic and illustrious voices within Latin classical music today. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Echoes Festival of Latin Classical Music will be holding a special mini-edition of the Festival with a mixture of live and online content for you to enjoy, whatever your level of lockdown.
The Festival will be celebrating the 500th birthday of the Great Spanish Renaissance composer, Pedro Guerrero, presenting a selection of his works and others by his brother Francisco and their contemporaries Cristobal de Morales and Alonso Lobo. The Spanish saxophonist Manu Brazo will give a concert including works by Bizet/ Borne, Manuel de Falla, Darius Milhaud and Pedro Iturralde, the most important Spanish interpreter, composer and teacher of this instrument , who just passed away.
