Edinburg Spanish Film Festival – Spring Weekend

ESFF is back for a spring weekend, taking place from June 4th- June 6th. The screenings, that will take place at the Odeon Cinema in Lothahm Road, will feature the following titles:
Rosa’s Wedding (+ Q&A with Director) – Friday 4th June, 6pm
When Rosa decides to take charge of her own life, she will realize that her plans collide with the interests of her entire family. Getting married, even with herself, is going to be the hardest thing she’s ever done.
Memories of My Father – Saturday 5th June, 6pm
The story about a Colombian writer’s father, Héctor Abad Gómez . His father was an University md professor who promoted tolerance and human rights in his country. Writer exposes his feelings related to his lovely father and he describes his family story and all drama related with the killing of his father. It is a moving film based on a book with the same title. It is a sample of violence related events to political Colombia’s social life during last three decades.
The Europeans – Sunday 6th June, 4pm
Spain at the end of the 50s. Miguel and Antonio, both single and in their early 30s, go on a trip to Ibiza, lured by the European sexual myth and the illusion of freedom. But on the island, nothing will be as they expected.
