The 40th anniversary of the Goya Awards are imminent, and the Spanish Academy of Cinematic Arts & Sciencies is paying homage to the outstanding work of iconic Spanish filmmaker Gonzalo Suárez with an honorary Goya at this year’s edition.
Journalist, novelist, and filmmaker, for Suárez identity is fragmented, characters split into doubles, and reality blends with fiction highly influenced by literature.
In Spanish with English subtitles, or in English, as in his tribute to Mary Shelly’s creation of Frankenstein starring Hugh Grant as Lord Byron and Elizabeth Hurley amongst many.
