Happy World Book Day! 😊

We celebrate our love for books with some very special guests! Spanish artists and agents based in UK, and related to this Office’s programme of collaborations and promotion, have joined us to share with you excerpts from some of their favourites Spanish authors and to give  you some recommendations from their personal library.

If you are passionate about literature, pick up paper and pen, no matter what your taste is, there are recommendations for all of them!

Marian A. Aréchaga – Director of Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival / Senior Teaching Fellow at the Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies at the University of Edinburgh.

Luis Amalia– Actor, maker and performance artist.

Avatâra Ayuso – Choreographer, artistic director of AVA Dance Company / Founder and director of the charity AWA Dance.

Paula Paz – Associate director of The Cervantes Theatre and former professional ballet dancer.

Carolina Núñez – Editor in chief & creative director of Brit-Es Magazine.

A huge thank to all of the participants for joining us to celebrate such an special day. We really appreciate counting on you in this initiative that aims to highlight the importance of working together with the common goal of supporting the very powerful culture that we have in Spain. We could not but also thank the authors, illustrators, editors, designers and all the professionals involved working in literature who inspire us every day with their best work.

In distance, we are together to face these terrible times when books become, however, more powerful than ever.
