see main text
Romancero Books, the only bookstore in the United Kingdom dedicated exclusively to literature published
in Spain and the Spanish-speaking countries, and the Instituto Cervantes branches in the United Kingdom present this new series with two lines: the first one comprises six presentations of books published throughout the year 2021 on writers of the Silver Age of Spanish literature or Generation of 27, such as Carmen Conde, Mada Carreño, María Teresa León or Elizabeth Mulder. The second one, revolves around the literature of stories. For these four presentations focused on contemporary literature, we have chosen four books published throughout 2020.
This series opens with an approach to the life, work and time of María Teresa León, which will allow us to get closer to the convulsive 20th century of Spain, in a conversation led by Jorge Gárriz.
