To celebrate the outstanding success of the latest Sorolla exhibition in London, the Embassy of Spain, alongside the National Gallery, ARTES and Instituto Cervantes will be hosting a symposium on the figure of the Valencian painter, followed by a visit to the exhibition.
The speakers include Gabriele Finaldi, Director of the National Gallery of London; Consuelo Luca de Tena, Director of the Sorolla Museum in Madrid; Edmund Peel, expert on Joaquín Sorolla, Richard Ormond, former director of the National Maritime Museum; Gail Turner, Spanish historian; and Mónica Rodríguez Subirana, Curator at the Museo del Romanticismo in Madrid.
After the intervention of the mentioned speakers, Akemi Herráez Vossbring will present the exhibition to the audience who will then leave for the National Gallery for a reception at the dining rooms and a self-guided tour.
