The festival will include the projection of “Carmen y Lola” by Arantxa Echevarria, a very unique director who took Spain by storm and the rest of the world as well. “Carmen y Lola” is an uplifting film defying genres and genders.
Depicting the Rom community from the inside and highlighting LGBTQ issues in modern society. The beautiful protagonists are two first time actresses who are truly fresh and believable characters. You’ll be enchanted by their wits and panache. The film will be introduced by a flamboyant flamenco dancer and musician. You’ll get the chance to savour real tapas as a treat to the Spanish theme night.
Bringing the sounds of Spain will be London-based musician Pablo Dominguez. Born in Cadiz to a musical family, Pablo delved into the world of Flamenco and Jazz from a young age. Joining him will be Noelia Valdés, a flamboyant and talented flamenco dancer. https://www.pablodominguez.co.uk/
