Spanish Contemporary Performpoetry at Instituto Cervantes

Instituto Cervantes in London, the University of Liverpool and the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sports are delighted to present ‘Performance Poetry in the 21st-Century: Innovative Social Movements in Spain’ this friday 13 December at Instituto Cervantes in London.
This event will present and promote the relevance of a poetic movement that has quickly become a social phenomenon in Spain capable of attracting massive audiences. The event will bring together 3 Spanish poets: Javier Arnaiz, Silvi Orión and Pablo Cortina; Amargord editor Miguel de la Quintana; and Diana Cullell, Reader in Hispanic Studies at the University of Liverpool and author of ‘La perfopoesía española en el siglo XX: una revolución poética’.
The event will also include performances from Spanish poets living in London and poems in English to highlight the crucial links that exist with other poetic movements in the Anglo-Saxon context.
The event will be English and the admissions are free but previous registration is needed.
