Spanish Native Scientists in the UK
9 Nov 11:00 am - 1:00 pm|
Embassy of Spain|
On 19th October 2019 and 9th November 2019, four Spanish scientists in London will get together to talk and demonstrate their work to Spanish-speaking kids. The workshop targets kids aged 6 – 12.
The project aims to inspire primary school pupils, who speak Spanish at home, to science and heritage language whilst strengthening their multicultural self-identity confidence. This project will bring Spanish scientists in the UK to deliver science and language workshops and act as role models to pupils by presenting their scientific research in an innovative way and in theirs and pupils’ heritage language.
This project follows a 5 year-long outreach programme implemented by Native Scientist and targeting the Spanish community in the UK. The success of past events reveals a great demand for this kind of activity and points out for an opportunity to deliver more similar events targeting the Spanish community in London. Native Scientist Ltd. proposes to deliver two more workshops and therefore targeting up to 60 pupils.
Registration is free but required. Please follow this link to register your child: https://forms.gle/c2h5KkQLn3zYvtxL9. Limited spaces are available.
