The Cambridge International Student Film Festival: Watersprite, discovers and champions emerging filmmakers from around the world. The festival inspires and empowers young film talent, providing an inclusive space which nurtures future award-winning partnerships. It supports learning and fosters creative collaboration in the context of film, television and other art forms of the moving image.

The activities programmed include: discussion, question and answer sessions, workshops, screenings and various activities in which the attendees can talk with professionals such as Bill Nighy, David Yates, Olivia Coleman, Richard Curtis, Biyi Bandele, Finola Dwyer and Eddie Redmayne. It also aims to promote the arts to provide opportunities to inspire audiences and raise awareness about film and other related art forms. In this 11th edition, there are 38 nominated films from 24 countries, covering 6 continents.
