XII International Symposium SRUK/CERU

This year, the focus of the symposium will be on “Facing Challenges”, exploring both the most pressing global research challenges (e.g., climate change, artificial intelligence, and issues related to human health) and the personal barriers researchers encounter in their careers, including wellbeing, EDI issues, and caring responsibilities. As well as, fighting inequities, maintaining work-life balance, and managing setbacks. All of these to be discussed at several panels and workshops.

The aim is to identify and address these challenges in order to achieve innovation, establish a bridge where there are knowledge gaps, and ensure a strong focus on creating impactful solutions for both researchers and critical global issues.

The Symposium will take place in the historic city of York, a setting that has thrived through centuries of change. With a rich legacy of resilience, from its Viking and medieval roots to its modern-day innovation, York offers an inspiring backdrop for meaningful discussions about overcoming obstacles and embracing opportunities for growth.
