This exhibition, curated by British-Spanish journalist and author Jimmy Burns, shows Churchill’s relationship with Spain from his days as a young soldier in Cuba.
This exhibition brings together six of Bermejo’s paintings that have never been seen outside of Spain, including the triptych of the 'Madonna of Montserrat' from the cathedral at Acqui Terme, Alessandria (Italy) and the 'Piedad Desplà' from Barcelona Cathedral.
Alberto Feijóo (b.1985, Spain) draws on the materiality of the image in relation to video, sculpture, installation, book-making and design. His work maps the passage of time, memories and world events, constantly mixing genres and recontextualising the ‘biography of objects’ which surround him.
The first major exhibition in the UK for over a century of the artist known as Spain’s Impressionist, Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida (1863–1923), opens at the National Gallery in spring 2019.
The Embassy of Spain welcomes a group of selected experts to talk about the life and work of Joaquín Sorolla, followed by a reception and self-guided tour at the National Gallery.
