The Edinburgh International Book Festival began in 1983 and is now a key event in the August Festival season. Each year writers from all over the world gather to become part of this unique forum in which audience and author meet to exchange thoughts and opinions on some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Jaime Manrique Palacín will present his new book ‘Horizons of Light’ at a private book launch in The Royal Academy of Arts.
‘Horizons of Light’ narrates the life of Enrique. One night in the summer of 1964 in Santa Maria de los Ríos he decided to change his life. That night he changed his future destination radically, as he decided to immigrate to the United States. He loses his wife and children, and is immersed into the intriguing and fascinating world of Hollywood. He learns of an impossible love for which he will fight for with all of his soul.
The Architectural Association School of Architecture has organized a book launch for Gardens of the Senses: The Spanish Gardens of Javier Mariátegui. The book author will be introduced by Dame Esperanza Aguirre, Mr Juan Luis Libano and Mr Javier Mariátegui.
