Pablo Urbina conducts the London City Orchestra in a concert dedicated to the music of Horovitz, Berlioz, Brahms and de Falla.

The London City Orchestra was formed in January 2013 and it has performed concerts ever since. The orchestra’s philosophy is to nurture aspiring musicians and help promote music making in general throughout London, the Southeast and UK.

Pablo Urbina (b. Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1988) is the LCO’s permanent conductor and musical director. He grew up in Pamplona (Spain) and studied horn and conducting at the Thornton School of Music of the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, US). In 2014, he finished a Master of Music in French horn with Conducting at the Royal College of Music London. He has already an extensive experience in conducting, including recent jobs in the field of opera. Finally, he has also developed extensive research in the field of the future of classical music through children, and on musician’s injuries and injurie prevention. Currently, he is responsible for the transition of the chamber group called The Cataleya Woodwind Quintet into The Cataleya Ensemble, aiming to tackle a wider contemporary repertoire.
