The University of Leeds will host the annual conference of the Association of Hispanist of Great Britain and Ireland (AHGBI). The Association aims to promote scholarly research in both countries into the study of the languages and cultures of the Hispanic and Lusophone world. To mark the 100th anniversary of the group, more than 120 distinguished scholars will discuss multiple subjects regarding the fields of literature, grammar and linguistic, among others. The conferences and lectures will be followed by a series of workshops let by various members of the association.
