ORA: Rennaisance music from yesterday and tomorrow

The Jerwood Hall will be welcoming ORA, the critically-acclaimed a capella vocal group to present a choral celebration of the Virgin Mary. Combining Renaissance gems with new commissions, the programme will include a total of 26 pieces, including three by Spanish composers: Regina Caeli á 8, by the Renaissance priest Tomás Luis de Victoria: Ave virgo sanctissima, by Francisco Guerrero, composer from the 16th century; and Stella, a new commissioned piece by contemporary composer Francisco Coll.
The programme will be carried out in collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra, helping ORA with the concerts where beautiful singin, lighting and movement combine to create a truly spellbinding experience.
