The Lazarillo de Tormes, jewel of Picaresque literature, is among the most mysterious books of Spanish narrative. Both its origin and authorship are lost in time. One of the great experts in Lazarillo, Professor Garrido Ardila, will lecture us on the different theories around this fascinating masterpiece, including the hypothesis of a lost first edition being shelved in an unknown English or Scottish library.
