The translations grant programme organized by AC/E, of which this is its third edition, aims to contribute to the dissemination of our authors in the international market and promote the translation of Spanish literature within the framework of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2022 when Spain will be the Guest of Honor. .
The translation grants have proven to be an efficient tool for the external projection of our literature. The first call in 2019 had a budget of 230,000 euros and the second in 2020 was increased to 400,000 euros. For this edition it has increased again.

The Frankfurt Book Fair is the most important in the world in its sector, where it is estimated that 80% of annual copyright contracts are negotiated, constitutes an excellent opportunity for the promotion of Spanish titles in Germany and other strategic markets of interest for the Spanish publishing industry such as Anglo-Saxon, French or Italian. The aim of these grants is to take advantage of the amplifying impact that the Fair has.
Through initiatives like this one, AC/E works to improve knowledge abroad of Spanish literature, which is experiencing one of the most interesting moments in its recent history.
