Are you interested in Science Diplomacy? From 9 to 23 July, the Barcelona Centre for Science and Technology Diplomacy (SciTech DiploHub) and the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI) are organising the ‘Science and Technology Diplomacy Summer School’, the first executive and university training in science diplomacy in online format due to the COVID-19 crisis.
This programme aims to train and acquire skills in science diplomacy to address global challenges – such as the current COVID-19 pandemic health crisis – that require effective multi-stakeholder partnerships between the science and technology community and public and foreign policy practitioners. This event is aimed at scientists, technology experts, diplomats and practitioners in international relations and public policy.
The ‘Science and Technology Diplomacy Summer School’ will be attended by leading academics and professionals from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the United Nations University, the European Commission, the Union for the Mediterranean, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and high-level representatives from governments around the world, among many others.
If you are interested in participating in this programme, the deadline for submitting an application is 11 June 2021. For more information, please click here:
