If you have completed your PhD and are ready to continue working and researching, you can access STARTING GRANTS grants from the European Research Council (ERC).

Postdoctoral researchers of any nationality with at least 2 years of experience in any scientific discipline after completion of their PhD are eligible for STARTING GRANTS. Also, the research must be carried out in a public or private organization, either in the applicant’s own institution or in any other organization located in one of the EU Member States or associated countries. As for the funding of the research project, up to 1.5 million euros may be granted for a period of 5 years. 

*Regarding the participation of the UK in STARTING GRANTS, it will have the same rights and obligations as other countries since the UK is expected to join the countries associated to the European Union’s R&I Framework Program, Horizon Europe.
